Werder’s Bundesliga comeback to begin on a Saturday

Timings for matchdays 1-7 have been announced

The DFL announced the timings for the first seven matchdays of the 2022/23 Bundesliga season. The Green-Whites' comeback into Germany’s top flight begins with an away fixture against VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday, 6th August 2022 (15:30 CEST). 

SV Werder’s first home match of the season will take place at 15:30 CEST on Saturday, 13th August 2022 against VfB Stuttgart, before a trip to last year’s Bundesliga runners-up, Borussia Dortmund, follows the week after on matchday 3 (Saturday, 20th August 2022, 15:30 CEST). The Green-Whites' second home game of the season sees them host Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday, 28th August 2022 (17:30 CEST). On matchday 6, SVW will welcome FC Augsburg to the wohninvest WESERSTADION for a Friday-night match on 9th September 2022 (20:30 CEST).
