The DFL published the full fixture list for the 2025/26 season on Friday afternoon. SV Werder Bremen already knew they would start the season away against Eintracht Frankfurt (23rd-24th August 2025), with that fixture followed by a home game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen (29th-31st August 2025).

The German Football League (DFL) confirmed the schedule for the opening five matchday of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season at on Thursday. SVW's campaign will begun with a Saturday afternoon kick-off away at Eintracht Frankfurt, with the season's first home game against Bayer Leverkusen also at 15:30 CEST one week later.

SV Werder Bremen have reached another important decision regarding club personnel, specifically the extension of centre-back Niklas Stark’s contract with the Green-Whites, which was set to expire on 30th June 2026. The announcement was provided on Thursday by Peter Niemeyer, director of professional football at SVW.

SV Werder Bremen will open the 2025/26 competitive season away against Arminia Bielefeld in the first round of the DFB-Pokal. The draw was conducted on Sunday (15th June) at the German Football Museum in Dortmund, and pits the Green-Whites against last season's finalists.
