Werder centre-back Milos Veljkovic suffered a concussion during the Green-Whites’ match against Borussia Mönchengladbach. The diagnosis was confirmed following tests after the match on Saturday and a further consultation with team doctor Georg Tsironis on Sunday morning.

In the 66th minute, Milos Veljkovic came together with Gladbach striker Alassane Pléa. The Serbia international initially returned to the pitch before being forced off in the 82nd minute due to persistent problems. As a result, the defender will not join up with his national team for the time being.
